CVSS v3.1 |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
smb/client: invalidate fscache for fallocate range operations
smb3_zero_range(), smb3_punch_hole(), smb3_insert_range(), and
smb3_collapse_range() modify file contents through server-side range
operations. These operations discard the affected page cache, but leave
the FS-Cache cookie valid, so a later read may return data cached before
the range operation.
Fix this by invalidating FS-Cache after outstanding I/O has completed
and before modifying the file on the server.
Run the following as root on a CIFS mount with fsc enabled and an active
CacheFiles backend:
bash -c '
MNT=/mnt/cifs
FILE="$MNT/repro"
# Generate four 1 MiB random blocks: [A][B][C][D].
dd if=/dev/urandom of=/tmp/src bs=1M count=4 status=none
# Expected contents after zeroing B: [A][zero][C][D].
cp /tmp/src /tmp/expected
dd if=/dev/zero of=/tmp/expected bs=1M seek=1 count=1 \
conv=notrunc status=none
cp /tmp/src "$FILE"
# Populate FS-Cache, then discard the page cache.
sync
echo 1 > /proc/sys/vm/drop_caches
cat "$FILE" > /dev/null
sync
echo 1 > /proc/sys/vm/drop_caches
fallocate --zero-range -o 1M -l 1M "$FILE"
if cmp -s /tmp/expected "$FILE"; then
echo "readback: OK"
else
echo "readback: STALE DATA"
fi
'
Before this change, the readback differs from /tmp/expected:
readback: STALE DATA
After this change, it matches:
readback: OK |
| draw.io Desktop is the official Electron build of draw.io. Prior to 31.4.4, draw.io Desktop is vulnerable to arbitrary local-file disclosure through the Electron main process's read-side IPC handlers. The readFile, getFileDrafts, getBkpFile, fileStat, isFileWritable, checkFileExists, and watchFile actions operate on a renderer-chosen filesystem path with no blessed-path (assertWritablePath) authorization. The only gates are validateSender — a URL-prefix origin check — plus, for readFile alone, a content "sniff" and a lexical appBaseDir prefix block. The write-side handlers (saveFile, writeFile, saveDraft, deleteFile) are all protected by assertWritablePath; the read side is not. The result is a read/write authorization asymmetry: any frame executing in the app's file:// origin can read the contents of local files that the same origin is explicitly forbidden to write. This issue is fixed in version 31.4.4. |
| IntentKit through 2.6.3, fixed in commit 5b91da5, contains an authorization bypass vulnerability where the executor validates tool calls against the full tool registry rather than the per-request narrowed tool advertisement enforced by ToolBindingMiddleware, allowing owner-only state-changing tools such as wallet transfer, posting, memory-write, and call-agent to execute without any human-in-the-loop or approval gate. An unauthenticated or public caller in WEB, API, TWITTER, or TELEGRAM contexts can exploit this by supplying the exact de-advertised tool name and arguments via indirect prompt injection or by replaying checkpoint and history data on a reused thread, achieving unauthorized execution of owner-restricted capabilities. |
| EDK2 contains a vulnerability in BIOS where a user may cause “Out-of-bounds
Write”, Classic
Buffer Overflow, and “Incorrect Calculation of Buffer Size” by remote access. Successful exploitation of this vulnerability
can lead to arbitrary
code execution. It could also impact
Confidentiality,
Integrity,
and Availability. |
| A missing authorization check allows anyone having access to a "link without login" for a DataApp to list and potentially access jobs of other users created by the same link in KNIME Business Hub prior to 1.19.0. As workaround remove all "links without login" to DataApps. |

| In lsquic before 4.9.0, the HTTP/3 implementation can use an excessive amount of memory because the number of buffered header sets is not limited, as demonstrated by a QPACK amplification attack. This is related to header_out_dynamic_entry and es_max_header_list_size. |
| Improper Neutralization of Input During Web Page Generation ('Cross-site Scripting') vulnerability in WP Chill Strong Testimonials strong-testimonials allows Stored XSS.This issue affects Strong Testimonials: from n/a through 3.3.12. |
| As part of Cisco's ongoing commitment to proactive security and product quality, the Cisco owned Open Source Snort 3 Software engineering team has conducted a comprehensive internal security review. This review resulted in software hardening releases that address multiple internally discovered vulnerabilities.
The vulnerabilities tracked by CVE-2026-20236 are related to issues concerning incorrect calculation that are grouped under the Common Weakness Enumeration (CWE) Base CWE-682. |
| JetBackup plugin for WordPress before 3.1.24.10 contains a symlink-based arbitrary file write vulnerability that allows an authenticated WordPress administrator to write attacker-controlled file contents outside the intended restore destination during backup import and restore. Attackers can craft a backup archive containing a symbolic link that archive extraction follows without validating targets or enforcing destination containment, potentially leading to server-side code execution depending on the writable destination and server configuration. |
| dnspython is a DNS toolkit for Python. Prior to 2.9.0, dns.name.from_wire_parser follows attacker-controlled DNS compression pointer chains without a hop limit. A malicious DNS wire-format message can force excessive pointer traversal during name decompression, causing high CPU use, application degradation, or denial of service in applications that process untrusted DNS messages. This issue is fixed in version 2.9.0. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
smb/client: fix stale page cache in insert/collapse range
smb3_insert_range() and smb3_collapse_range() use
truncate_pagecache_range() to invalidate the affected page cache.
However, if off or old_eof is not page-aligned, the boundary pages are
only partially zeroed and remain uptodate. As a result, the client may
return stale data after a successful insert/collapse range operation.
For example, with 4K pages:
page 0 page 1 page 2
0------4K 4K------8K 8K------12K
^ ^
off=2K old_eof=10K
Page 1 is removed from the page cache, while the boundary pages are
only partially zeroed. After COPYCHUNK moves the data on the server,
these cached pages may still return stale data.
This can be reproduced on a CIFS mount:
bash -c '
FILE=/mnt/scratch/repro
# Use a 6 KiB file so EOF is not page-aligned.
dd if=/dev/urandom of=/tmp/src bs=1K count=6 status=none
# Expected: a 4 KiB hole followed by the original data.
rm -f /tmp/expected
truncate -s 4K /tmp/expected
cat /tmp/src >> /tmp/expected
cp /tmp/src "$FILE"
# Prime the page cache before moving data on the server.
cat "$FILE" > /dev/null
fallocate --insert-range -o 0 -l 4K "$FILE"
if cmp -s /tmp/expected "$FILE"; then
echo "readback: OK"
else
echo "readback: STALE DATA"
fi
'
Fix this by writing back dirty data and discarding the page cache from
the start of the page containing off to EOF before moving data on the
server. |
