CVSS v3.1 |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
x86/mm: Don't apply va_align to hugetlb mappings on AMD F15h
get_align_mask() returns huge_page_mask_align() for hugetlbfs, but get_align_bits()
adds va_align.bits regardless, so vm_unmapped_area() returns an address off the huge
page boundary and __unmap_hugepage_range() hits BUG_ON(start & ~huge_page_mask(h)) at
teardown.
This can be triggered on Carrizo and FX-8370E, both hstates.
Pass the file to get_align_bits() and skip the randomisation for hugetlbfs.

| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
inet: frags: strip GSO state from fragments before reassembly
A virtio_net_hdr (tun/tap, or AF_PACKET with PACKET_VNET_HDR) can mark
an IPv4 or IPv6 fragment as GSO; nothing relates gso_type to frag_off.
inet_frag_reasm_prepare()/inet_frag_reasm_finish() keep the first
fragment's skb as the head of the reassembled datagram, including its
shinfo->gso_size/gso_type/gso_segs, and chain the remaining fragments
on frag_list with whatever linear/paged layout they arrived with.
After ip_defrag() (ip_local_deliver(), nf_defrag_ipv4, ...) the
reassembled skb therefore still claims to be GSO (SKB_GSO_DODGY), and
the next software segmentation point - udp_rcv_segment() on local
delivery, validate_xmit_skb(), or the ip_finish_output_gso() slow
path - hands it to skb_segment(). skb_segment()'s frag_list walk
assumes GRO-shaped input and hits one of its BUG_ON()s. Two writes to
a tap by an unprivileged user in its own userns are enough:

Kernel panic - not syncing: Fatal exception in interrupt
This runs with BH disabled, so it is a panic rather than an oops. The
same is reachable with CAP_NET_RAW in a netns where a defrag point
precedes a GSO point, and from a guest whose VMM forwards
virtio_net_hdr to a tap. The SKB_GSO_DODGY frag_list checks added by
commit 3dcbdb134f32 ("net: gso: Fix skb_segment splat when splitting
gso_size mangled skb having linear-headed frag_list") and by
commit 9e4b7a99a03a ("net: gso: fix panic on frag_list with mixed head
alloc types") do not cover it: page-backed heads skip them, and kmalloc
heads skip them when gso_size == skb_headlen(head), which the sender
controls.
An skb entering a frag queue is an IP fragment by definition and
cannot legitimately carry GSO state: GRO does not merge fragments and
the stack segments before it fragments, so only untrusted sources are
affected. This has been reachable since
commit f43798c27684 ("tun: Allow GSO using virtio_net_hdr"), the first
path that let userspace attach GSO metadata to an IP fragment. Reset
the GSO fields of every fragment as it is queued, in
inet_frag_queue_insert(), which IPv4, IPv6, nf_conntrack_reasm and
6lowpan reassembly share; then neither the head nor the frag_list
members of the reassembled skb carry them (the members matter too:
the ip_do_fragment()/ip6_fragment() fast paths send them out as they
are). The head may remain CHECKSUM_PARTIAL; that is already accepted
on receive and resolved by skb_checksum_help() in
ip_do_fragment()/ip6_fragment() on forward.
Tested on top of net.git (dc4b95b8fee9), x86_64: the tap reproducer
above, two further IPv4 frag_list geometries that reach
BUG_ON(i >= nfrags) and BUG_ON(!list_skb->head_frag), and an IPv6
fragment-header variant (udp6_ufo_fragment()) each panic the unpatched
kernel; with this patch all four datagrams are delivered intact and
nothing is logged. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
mptcp: options: reset DSS fields in case of unexpected size
A remote peer could send a malformed DSS with a wrong size, followed by
another DSS or MPC + Data. In this case, the first suboption will be
ignored, but leaving some fields written, which could lead to
inconsistency or access uninitialized data.
Explicitly reset the fields that could have been modified in case of
unexpected size. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
audit: fix potential use-after-free in audit_del_rule()
`audit_del_rule()` destroys `e->rule.exe` via `audit_remove_mark_rule()`
before unlinking the rule from RCU-visible filter lists and waiting for a
grace period. Concurrent readers in `audit_filter()` and
`audit_filter_rules()` still dereference `e->rule.exe`, while the fsnotify
mark can be freed on an independent lifetime path. This creates a
use-after-free window during rule deletion.
Fix this by unlinking the rule from the RCU-visible lists and invoking
`synchronize_rcu()` before calling `audit_remove_mark_rule()` (and other
rule removal helpers). This ensures that all existing RCU readers have
exited the critical section before any underlying resources are destroyed. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
iommu/vt-d: Fix RB-tree corruption in probe error path
The info->node RB-tree member is zero-initialized via kzalloc. If
a device does not support ATS, the device_rbtree_insert() call is
skipped. If a subsequent probe step fails, the error path jumps to
device_rbtree_remove(), which misinterprets the zeroed node as
a tree root and corrupts the device RB-tree.
Fix this by explicitly initializing the RB-node as empty using
RB_CLEAR_NODE() during initialization and guarding the removal with
RB_EMPTY_NODE(). |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
wifi: ath11k: Ignore frags from uninitialized peer in dp.
When max virtual ap interfaces are configured in all the bands with
ACS and hostapd restart is done every 60s, a crash is observed at
random times.
In this certain scenario, a fragmented packet is received for
self peer, for which rx_tid and rx_frags are not initialized in
datapath. While handling this fragment, crash is observed as the
rx_frag list is uninitialised and when we walk in
ath11k_dp_rx_h_sort_frags, skb null leads to exception.
To address this, before processing received fragments we check
dp_setup_done flag is set to ensure that peer has completed its
dp peer setup for fragment queue, else ignore processing the
fragments.

| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
nvmet: fix return status of RMI log page on allocation failure
nvmet_execute_get_log_page_rmi() leaves 'status' holding NVME_SC_SUCCESS
(set by the successful nvmet_req_find_ns() call) when the kzalloc() for
the log buffer fails. It then jumps to the out label and completes the
request with a success status, so the host is told the command succeeded
while no data was transferred.
Initialize 'status' to NVME_SC_INTERNAL, matching the smart log handler,
so an allocation failure is reported as an internal error. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
md: remove REQ_NOWAIT support from raid1/10/456
REQ_NOWAIT support in md personalities that can block internally is
fundamentally incomplete. While reads can avoid some blocking paths,
write requests can still encounter cases where one mirror succeeds while
another returns -EAGAIN. At that point md cannot distinguish queue
pressure from a real device failure, so it can neither record a bad
block nor safely retry the write without REQ_NOWAIT, leaving mirrors
with divergent data.
Rather than continue advertising REQ_NOWAIT support for personalities
that cannot implement it correctly, remove it from raid1, raid10 and
raid456. Keep REQ_NOWAIT for linear and raid0, which only remap bios to
their underlying devices; stacked limits will still clear the feature if
any component device lacks REQ_NOWAIT support. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
wifi: mt76: mt7996: clear stale link state on full reset
After a full chip reset, mac80211 reconfig replays interface, link and
channel context setup. mt7996_vif_link_add() short-circuits when the
link_id is still marked in mvif->valid_links, a state introduced for
postponing link teardown to interface removal. The reset path frees the
link structures without clearing those bits, so the replayed setup never
re-creates dev_info/bss_info/STA records in the restarted firmware and
never re-registers the link wcid, leaving the device inoperative.
The reset path also leaks every allocated MLD index: per-link indices
and the per-vif group/remap indices are re-allocated from scratch during
reconfig, but the old bits stay set in the masks, so repeated full
resets exhaust the index space.
Clear valid_links in the reset vif iterator and reset the MLD index
masks alongside the existing omac_mask clearing. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
fuse: Fix the condition to enable over-io-uring
The existing condition in fuse_uring_cmd() is there only to avoid
disabling io-uring for connections that already run with it, missing
was a condition to refuse any IORING_OP_URING_CMD if the
connection/channel didn't get enabled because of missing FUSE_INIT
reply flag FUSE_OVER_IO_URING. Without the reply flag the barrier in
fuse_uring_ready() doesn't work and IO could already be going on and
cause deadlock states (at a minimum one between fch->bg_lock and
queue->lock).
The change itself is trivial, but brings behavior change,
FUSE_OVER_IO_URING has to be set in the FUSE_INIT_REPLY by fuse servers
to accept any IORING_OP_URING_CMD. Libfuse does that and the only
non-libfuse implementation I found (fractal-fuse) also does it.
Qemu patches for fuse-io-uring are not merged yet, as far as I know.
Moved up is the smp_load_acquire(&fch->initialized) check, as a
fuse-server implementation might try to setup io-uring before FUSE_INIT
is processed and might have gotten -EOPNOTSUPP instead of -EAGAIN.
Also fixed is a stale comment that explains the handling of the
FUSE_OVER_IO_URING flag in early RFC versions.
If there should be a report from any library or application we
probably need to revert this commit. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
media: chips-media: wave5: Resume device before setting EOS flag
Setting the EOS flag talks to the firmware via send_firmware_command(),
which accesses VPU registers. Both the STREAMOFF path
(wave5_vpu_dec_job_abort()) and the V4L2_DEC_CMD_STOP path
(wave5_vpu_dec_stop()) can run while the device is runtime suspended, so
those register accesses hit powered-down hardware and the SoC raises an
asynchronous SError, panicking the kernel:
SError Interrupt on CPU3, code 0x00000000bf000000 -- SError

| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
wifi: cfg80211: undo netns switch if renaming the wiphy fails
Once all the interfaces have been moved, cfg80211_switch_netns()
moves the wiphy itself by setting its network namespace and then
renaming it, which makes sysfs move it. The rename can fail (but
only on allocation failures), leaving things mixed up and hitting
the warning there.
Ignoring it isn't great, undo the move and let the change fail
in this case. If undo fails then WARN, then things would again
be stuck in two different network namespaces. |
| Unspecified vulnerability in Oracle Java SE 6u101, 7u85, and 8u60, and Java SE Embedded 8u51, allows remote attackers to affect confidentiality, integrity, and availability via unknown vectors related to Serialization. |
| drivers/scsi/stex.c in the Linux kernel through 5.19.9 allows local users to obtain sensitive information from kernel memory because stex_queuecommand_lck lacks a memset for the PASSTHRU_CMD case. |
| A defect in the Qt for MCUs core string handling causes heap memory corruption. When an application passes text into Qt Quick Ultralite using the public Qul::String interface type, and that text is held in a std::string, the conversion to the internal string type copies the pointer without taking ownership of it. Two objects then release the same memory, producing a double free, an invalid free, or a use-after-free. |
| SQLite through 3.31.1 allows attackers to cause a denial of service (segmentation fault) via a malformed window-function query because the AggInfo object's initialization is mishandled. |
| On the x86-64 architecture, the GNU C Library (aka glibc) before 2.31 fails to ignore the LD_PREFER_MAP_32BIT_EXEC environment variable during program execution after a security transition, allowing local attackers to restrict the possible mapping addresses for loaded libraries and thus bypass ASLR for a setuid program. |
