CVSS v3.1 |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
vlan: ensure sufficient headroom in vlan_dev_hard_header()
Callers that only reserve ETH_HLEN or less (such as llc_alloc_frame()),
or skbs allocated before dynamic device/headroom changes (e.g. toggling
VLAN_FLAG_REORDER_HDR or bonding/team switching slaves), can reach
vlan_dev_hard_header() with insufficient headroom and trigger
skb_under_panic().
Use skb_cow_head() in vlan_dev_hard_header() when VLAN_FLAG_REORDER_HDR
is not set to ensure sufficient headroom for the VLAN header(s) and the
underlying device hard header.
Use READ_ONCE() to read dev->hard_header_len and dev->needed_headroom as
they can be updated concurrently under RTNL (e.g. in
vlan_transfer_features()) while vlan_dev_hard_header() runs locklessly on
the transmit path. Also avoid LL_RESERVED_SPACE(dev) here so that the
extra HH_DATA_MOD alignment padding does not trigger unnecessary
pskb_expand_head() reallocations on inner stacked VLAN devices after the
outer VLAN header has been pushed. |
| In Eclipse OpenJ9 versions up to 0.63, opening a supplied diagnostic dump bundle with the jdmpview tool, or equivalent DTFJ code, may cause the analyst's machine to read an arbitrary local file named inside the bundle and send its contents to an arbitrary remote host. |
| Tokens associated with user sessions are not revoked when the corresponding user session is terminated, unless another SSO request is initiated. This occurs when the session-bound token feature is enabled with token binding validation and the "Revoke token upon user logout" option is not active. The software fails to automatically invalidate session-bound tokens upon user session termination.
This vulnerability exists when token binding validation is enabled. As a result, a malicious actor possessing a valid session-bound token could exploit this condition to maintain unauthorized access to applications and resources even after the associated user session has ended, potentially leading to the exposure of sensitive user data. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
arm64/boot: Disable trapping of PMZR_EL0 writes to EL2
__init_el2_fgt2() writes one mask to both HDFGRTR2_EL2 and HDFGWTR2_EL2.
PMZR_EL0 is write-only, so its trap bit, nPMZR_EL0, exists only in
HDFGWTR2_EL2 and is therefore never set: a PMZR_EL0 write from the host
traps to EL2, where the nVHE hypervisor has no handler and BUG()s. The
kernel never writes PMZR_EL0, but kernel.perf_user_access=1 has the PMU
driver set PMUSERENR_EL0.UEN for a task with a user-read event, so a
write from EL0 reaches the trap and takes the host down without a panic
message.
Accumulate the HDFGWTR2_EL2 bits separately, as __init_el2_fgt() already
does for HDFGWTR_EL2, and set nPMZR_EL0 with the other FEAT_PMUv3p9
bits. |
| Improper validation of the Destination Connection ID length in s2n-quic 1.88.0 and earlier may allow an unauthenticated remote user to cause a denial of service by shutting down a server endpoint via a single crafted UDP datagram. Only server endpoints specifically configured to send Retry packets are affected.
To remediate this issue, users should upgrade to version v1.89.0 or later. |
| IBM Storage TS4500 Library 1.1.1.6 through 1.12.0.3 does not invalidate session after a logout which could allow an authenticated user to impersonate another user on the system. |
| Nginx UI is a web user interface for the Nginx web server. From 2.0.0 until 2.5.0, internal/backup/restore.go extracts inner archives before applying the restore_nginx and restore_nginx_ui flags and permits symlinks targeting the live Nginx configuration path. An authenticated user who can create and restore backups can craft a valid backup that places a symlink in the staging tree and then writes a regular file through that link, even when both restore flags are false. This can persistently inject configuration or cause denial of service when the modified files are later consumed. This issue is fixed in version 2.5.0. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
KVM: arm64: Fix spurious warning for benign stage 2 teardown race
kvmtool was used to establish an L1 guest with 8 CPUs and 8 GiB of RAM, an
L2 guest with 4 CPUs and 4 GiB of RAM and an L3 guest with 2 CPUs and 2 GiB
of RAM, all of which was then exited.
Under memory pressure in the L0 host warnings were observed due to
migration triggered by compaction:
WARNING: arch/arm64/kvm/mmu.c:336 at __unmap_stage2_range+0x64/0x80,
CPU#5: kcompactd0/66
Which was, in turn, triggered by an MMU notifier for the host invalidation:
mmu_notifier_invalidate_range_start()
-> ... -> kvm_mmu_notifier_invalidate_range_start()
-> kvm_mmu_unmap_gfn_range()
-> kvm_unmap_gfn_range()
-> kvm_nested_s2_unmap()
-> kvm_stage2_unmap_range()
-> __unmap_stage2_range()
-> stage2_apply_range()
<- -EINVAL, triggering a WARN_ON()
Racing with L0's teardown of stage 2 page tables:
exit_mm()
-> mmput()
-> __mmput()
-> exit_mmap()
-> mmu_notifier_release()
-> ... -> kvm_mmu_notifier_release()
-> kvm_flush_shadow_all()
-> kvm_arch_flush_shadow_all()
-> kvm_free_stage2_pgd()
-> [ acquire kvm->mmu_lock for write ]
-> mmu->pgt = NULL [ among other tasks ]
-> [ release kvm->mmu_lock for write ]
It turns out there is a benign race resulting in a spurious warning:
Thread A - notify: migration | Thread B - notify: release
-------------------------------|---------------------------------
< kvm->mmu_lock held > |
stage2_apply_range() |
get mmu->pgt, check !NULL |
... | kvm_arch_flush_shadow_all()
cond_resched_rwlock_write(); | < contend, sleep kvm->mmu_lock >
< drop kvm->mmu_lock > | < acquire kvm->mmu_lock>
| ...
| kvm_free_stage2_pgd()
| mmu->pgt = NULL
| < invalidate MMU >
| ...
| < release kvm->mmu_lock >
[ scheduled ] |
stage2_apply_range() |
< loop to next > |
get, mmu->pgt, check !NULL |
is NULL, return -EINVAL |
__unmap_stage2_range() |
WARN_ON(-EINVAL) <--- entirely spurious - the race was handled
correctly.
Fix the spurious warning by updating stage2_apply_range() to no longer
treat concurrent PGT teardown on lock release as an error - whether the
walker is tearing down page tables or doing something else this is a
legitimate reason to abort the operation without error.
This keeps the warning in place for all other circumstances.
In practice only __unmap_stage2_range() actually does anything with the
error so this only impacts that. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
net/sched: act_ct: preserve tc_skb_cb across defragmentation
tcf_ct_handle_fragments() calls nf_ct_handle_fragments() without saving
and restoring skb->cb. The defrag helper clears IPCB/IP6CB, which aliases
the tc_skb_cb/qdisc_skb_cb control buffer. Fragmented traffic through
act_ct therefore loses qdisc metadata such as pkt_segs and can trigger
WARN_ON_ONCE() in qdisc_pkt_segs() when panic_on_warn is enabled.
Save and restore the full tc_skb_cb around nf_ct_handle_fragments(),
matching the pattern used by ovs_ct_handle_fragments(). |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
KVM: arm64: Don't WARN on an unknown VM ioctl in protected mode
kvm_pkvm_ioctl_allowed() WARNs when kvm_get_cap_for_kvm_ioctl() doesn't
find the ioctl number in vm_ioctl_caps[], and kvm_arch_vm_ioctl() calls
it for every number the generic code doesn't handle, so
ioctl(vm_fd, 0xdeadbeef) from userspace taints a pKVM host and panics it
under panic_on_warn. The lookup is fed userspace input: return false,
and userspace gets the -EINVAL kvm_arch_vm_ioctl() returns for that
number on a host without pKVM. |
| A flaw was found in RESTEasy's SourceProvider. This vulnerability allows an unauthenticated attacker to perform an unauthenticated remote file read. By sending a specially crafted XML body with a DOCTYPE declaration referencing external entities to an endpoint that accepts application/xml and returns Source or StreamSource, the server can be tricked into resolving the entity and including sensitive file contents in the HTTP response. This is due to the SourceProvider.writeTo() method creating a SAXParser without disabling external entity resolution, leading to an XML External Entity (XXE) vulnerability. |
| FileRise is a self-hosted web-based file manager with multi-file upload, editing, and batch operations. Prior to 3.16.0, FileRise stores the isAdmin flag in remember-me tokens and restores that stale value during automatic login instead of resolving the account's current role from users.txt. A user who was issued a token while an administrator can retain administrator access after demotion, and token rotation copies the stale privilege into each replacement token. Exploitation requires possession of the pre-demotion remember-me token. This issue is fixed in version 3.16.0. |
| Ellucian WebAdvisor 3.2 contains an unauthenticated XML External Entity (XXE) injection vulnerability that allows remote attackers to submit crafted XML POST requests to the /WebAdvisor/WebAdvisor endpoint without disabling external entity and DTD resolution. Attackers can exploit this flaw to force the server into SSRF requests, coerce NTLMv2 hash disclosure via attacker-controlled SMB shares, and read arbitrary files from the underlying Windows host through an out-of-band error-based channel. WebAdvisor entered end-of-support status in June 2022 and users are encouraged to migrate to Colleague Self-Service. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
net/sched: act_ct: don't WARN on benign flow_offload_alloc() failure
flow_offload_alloc() returns NULL when the conntrack entry is dying
(e.g. raced with a conntrack flush) or when the GFP_ATOMIC allocation
fails; both are expected under load and neither is a kernel bug. This
path runs from softirq on every committed packet, so with
panic_on_warn=1 an unprivileged user can panic the box just by racing
a conntrack flush against a `tc ... action ct commit` classifier.
Reproduced with a custom repro under QEMU: a small, fixed set of UDP
flows through `tc filter ... action ct commit` on lo, raced against
threads flooding bare ctnetlink CT_DELETE (flush) requests. Hits
WARNING: net/sched/act_ct.c:437 (tcf_ct_flow_table_add(), inlined
into tcf_ct_act() in this build) within ~15s on the unpatched kernel;
same setup is clean on the patched kernel. The fix itself is
behavior-preserving: both branches already did `goto err_alloc`
before and after, only the WARN is removed. |
| F´ (F Prime) is a framework that enables development and deployment of spaceflight and other embedded software applications. Prior to 4.3.0, Svc::FileDownlink SendPartial range validation is vulnerable because unchecked startOffset plus length arithmetic bypasses the range check and stores a wrapped m_endOffset that is inconsistent with m_byteOffset. When an existing source file is larger than a valid startOffset and a SendPartial command supplies a length whose U32 sum with that offset wraps below the file size, under standard F Prime assertion handling, the first data-packet transition reaches FW_ASSERT and aborts or resets the process, causing denial of service. This issue is fixed in version 4.3.0. |
| F´ (F Prime) is a framework that enables development and deployment of spaceflight and other embedded software applications. Prior to 4.2.0, Svc::GenericHub fromBufferDriver_handler deserialization is vulnerable because the receive handler uses FW_ASSERT for externally influenced deserialization status and type validation and permits a command payload size subtraction to underflow. When an unauthenticated inter-processor hub peer sends a truncated buffer, an invalid HubType, or a header-only command-dispatch payload, malformed hub traffic aborts or resets the process, causing denial of service. This issue is fixed in version 4.2.0. |
| IBM Storage TS4500 Library 1.1.1.6 through 1.12.0.3 IBM TS4500 Tape Library/Diamondback Tape Library does not invalidate session which could allow an authenticated user to impersonate another user on the system. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
vmxnet3: fix BUG_ON in vmxnet3_get_hdr_len() for Geneve packets
vmxnet3_get_hdr_len() assumes gdesc->rcd.v4/v6/tcp always describe the
outer header, but for a Geneve-encapsulated packet the device can set
them based on the inner header instead, signalled by the
VMXNET3_RCD_HDR_INNER_SHIFT bit in the completion descriptor. Since the
function never skips the outer encapsulation, this mismatch triggers:
- BUG_ON(hdr.ipv4->protocol != IPPROTO_TCP), because the outer
protocol is UDP (Geneve), not TCP.
- BUG_ON(hdr.eth->h_proto != ...), when the tunnel's outer and inner
IP versions differ (e.g. outer IPv6/inner IPv4 or vice versa).
Check VMXNET3_RCD_HDR_INNER_SHIFT up front and bail out, since the
function cannot locate the inner header it would need to parse. Also
convert the remaining BUG_ON()s in this function to return 0
defensively. |
| Vikunja 0.22.0 before 2.7.0 contains an improper access revocation vulnerability that allows removed collaborators to keep receiving project data through webhooks they created. Former collaborators keep receiving task titles and descriptions through their webhook, including content created after their access was revoked. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
libceph: Reject monmaps advertising zero monitors
A message of type CEPH_MSG_MON_MAP contains a monmap that is sent from a
monitor to the client. This monmap contains information about the
existing monitors in the cluster. Currently, a monmap indicating that
there are zero monitors in the cluster is treated as valid. However, it
is impossible to have zero monitors in the cluster and still receive a
valid monmap from a monitor. Therefore, such a monmap must be corrupted
and should be treated as invalid. Furthermore, a monmap with a monitor
count of zero can subsequently crash the client when attempting to open
a session with a monitor in __open_session(). This happens because the
"BUG_ON(monc->monmap->num_mon < 1)" assertion in pick_new_mon() is
triggered.
This patch extends a check in ceph_monmap_decode() to also reject
arriving mon_maps with num_mon == 0 rather than only with
num_mon > CEPH_MAX_MON.
